Title: Child Psychologist - FT
Location:
The Child Psychologist evaluates & treats patients referred by mental health providers, conducts family therapy, consults w/ primary care providers regarding mental health aspects of family & patient management & performs psychological testing.
Essential Functions:
- Evaluates & diagnoses the mental health of children & adults, utilizing psychological tests where appropriate.
- Provides brief intensive treatment for children & families as well as ongoing group & supportive therapy in appropriate cases.
- Determines need for child psychiatric referrals in consultation w/ pediatricians & mental health providers.
- Consults regularly w/ the mental health staff & pediatric primary care providers on patient care issues.
- Maintains liaison w/ community resources for child mental health services.
- Assists in implementing mental health in-service educating programs for medical staff. Participates in staff development meetings & quality-or-care activities on a regular basis.
- Performs other related duties as directed.

Schedule Details:
- Ability to work at other NOVA Medical Office Buildings.
- Possible evening hours on Monday, Tuesday,Wednesday or Thursday.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of post PhD or PsyD (Doctorate in Psychology) clinical experience required.
- Experience w/ Children required.
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology required.
- Must be licensed in the appropriate jurisdiction.
- National Provider Identification (NPI) required.
- Knowledge & proficiency w/ a range of clinical approaches to care required.
- Knowledge & experience w/ Psychological testing required.
- Proficiency in the use of applicable computer software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic computer literacy & work processing skill & experience preferred.
- Strong Assesment Skills.
- Experience working in an IOP.
- Experience in DTB.
- Experience working with OCD, ADHD, Autism Spectrum, Eating Disorders,Sexual Identity Disorders, Sexual Dysfunction.
- Bilingual.
